We are in Oregon for Thanksgiving this year, visiting Nick's family. Nick and I spent some time in Portland on a date and went to Powell's and Voodoo Doughnuts. Powell's is a must and I can never leave without being a few books heavier. It's a 5 story city block of books! My dreams come true in that place. And Voodoo Doughnuts has been on our checklist for the past couple of years and we finally went. We got their signature Maple Bacon and Voodoo Doll Doughnuts. They were pretty good, but I don't think it'll make the checklist next time around. Day dates with my man make me the happiest.
We also went to the Portland Zoo, which is a must. We bundled up and braved the 50 degree weather, and those lion cubs made it all worth it. I live for these days. Spending 24/7 with my family and making happy memories. These trips make the long Utah winters bearable. I'm looking forward to our big Thanksgiving meal tomorrow with lots of cooking, eating, and family!
