It's no secret that we love food. We love to make it, eat it, take pictures of it, shop for it, basically anything that has to do with food, we love it. I've made it a goal this winter to learn new recipes and new techniques every week to improve my cooking skills.
This weekend we made homemade cheese ravioli with a fresh spaghetti sauce with tomatoes from the farmers market. The kids were super nice and took late afternoon naps in order for us to make these in peace. It was surprisingly easy and so, so, so, so good. We didn't have any of the fancy ravioli kitchen tools, but they still turned out great.
We used this recipe for the pasta part, this recipe for the spaghetti sauce, and the filling we just made up. Ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, 1 egg, parsley, and some salt for the filling. All the flavors were fresh, and it had a savory taste with a little bit of sweetness to it.
We will definitely be making this again sometime soon.
