My baby is 4! Which also means that I've been a mom for 4 years. Crazy. I think I'll forever feel like I'm 20. Anyways, I procrastinated and spent the night before Kenzie's birthday decorating, wrapping presents, and making frosting her cake. Oh boy is it hard to frost a cake or what?! I think I'll just buy one next time.
We filled the hallway with balloons and Kenzie came out bright and early (6:20) and loved kicking all the balloons around. She told me that she wanted birthday sprinkle pancakes for her birthday so I made them and she took one bite and decided to just stick with bacon and strawberries. At least she's a healthy picky eater.
The only thing she wanted for her birthday was a scooter, because she said she knew how to ride them. So she was happy to find a scooter and helmet waiting for her in the living room. And yes, that was Benson's face all day trying to get a turn on the scooter. He had a rough time letting Kenzie have the spotlight for the day.
Then Kenzie opened a few more presents. The Frozen soundtrack from Grandma Dube has been her favorite. I've banned anyone in our house from singing it. Between watching it once a day and listening to it in the car, I'm about to go crazy. :)
She requested her favorite, Pink fish (salmon) and green beans for dinner. And she told me she wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate sprinkles. I think she likes chocolate! She even got to blow out the candles 4 times, because she was turning 4. She said it was the yummies cake ever and she had the funnest birthday ever. We love our spirited little Kenzie cakes!
