All week we had debated about going camping and procrastinated looking up campsites. So when Friday came around we decided to take a day hike to Cecret Lake and then have a fire and do the whole "camping" thing without the sleeping in a tent. Cecret Lake is up Little Cottonwood Canyon and is gorgeous.
We took lots of stops along the way to pick up rocks and sticks and look for ground hogs/squirrels/birds. Kenzie was awesome and walked the whole way up and down. So proud of her!
It was overcast most of the day and the weather was a beautiful 70 degrees. We still all came home with sunburnts (oops).
We saw loads of little creatures.
Lots of snack breaks. This boy loves fruit. The way he chomps apples makes me so happy.

We built a fire and roasted hot dogs and s'mores and tin foil dinners. We all came home exhausted and slept like babies. These are my favorite days.
