Oregon

We went to Oregon back in July...so I'm a bit behind. But I still wanted to document our trip. We drove 12 hours there and back. It was not horrible, but not the best either. The kids did great and took decent car naps. We even stopped for a Burgerville raspberry shake and that made the looong car ride so much nicer.
We picked blueberries, raspberries, and black berries at a local farm one day and then came straight home and made a fruit pizza for Nick's 29th birthday cake. Fruit pizza is where it's at! I think I make that for his birthday every year. This one was definitely the prettiest and tastiest.
We went to the beach one day and it couldn't have been more lovely. I was expecting the kids to not really enjoy it because they hate to be messy, but they loved it! We stayed for hours and waded in the tide pools and walked along the beach enjoying the colder beach weather. Benson loved digging in the sand and did this for hours.
It's no secret, we love Tillamook. So on the way to the beach we stopped at the Cheese Factory in Tillamook. The samples are the best part, of course. My favorite is still extra sharp white cheddar.
We went to the Portland Zoo one day and wore Benson out. I can't count the number of times this child has fallen asleep with food in his hand. He is my best little sleeper. If he's tired, he'll go to sleep! It's amazing, he does what you're suppose to do when you're tired. He sometimes will tell you he's tired and ask to snuggle. <3
We spent some time at Powell's in Portland and Benson decided to run away from me and drop his pants at one point...not quite sure why.
Brothers getting ready for Jamie's wedding. Nick was teaching Nathan how to tie a bow tie.
Cousin fun at Jaimie's wedding. These kids had so much fun running around together.

We had such a fun, and busy time in Oregon. The weather was beautiful and rainy, of course. We love visiting family and making memories. This trip was definitely a good one.
