Seattle and Canada Trip Day 1

We left the house around 6am and the kids were champs and watched movies the whole way to Seattle. It was only a 3 hour drive, so not bad at all and the traffic wasn't horrible like it usually is in Seattle. We parked at Pikes Place Market and walked around the market looking at all the awesome stuff they have for sale. I love the flower arrangements and all the seafood and interesting fruits and vegetables they sell there.

Found this pretty wall mural. It wasn't there when we came 2 years ago.
We got to sample some salmon jerky and we all liked it a lot. Kenzie wanted us to buy a whole salmon. :)
There is this really pretty garden area hidden in the market that we found last time we came to Seattle. We went there again after we bought the huge donut the size of your face. The kids like drawing on the pig with chalk.
The kids favorite part of the market.....for obvious reasons.
We all look very attractive eating a humongous donut! The glaze to dough ratio is all off, but it still tastes pretty amazing!
When we were walking around the kids found these unicorn chalk drawings with arrows, so we had to follow them to see where it ended.
It ended in this cute, craft local store.
We brought the kids scooters, which was the best idea because they had so much fun scootering around the pier and there is no way they would have walked as far as they scootered.
We went on the ferris wheel 2 years ago, so we didn't this year.

 These crazies.
And of coarse we had to see the gum wall. It actually looked like they cleared all the gum off and people started a new one. It must get pretty packed and gross so they have to clean it every once and awhile. I forgot gum, so we didn't put any on.
It's cute when the kids get excited to show me something they know I love. Like otters and hippie buses.
There is a Cafe Rio in Seattle on the way to Canada, so of course we had to stop. It was delicious and I would drive 3 hours just to eat there again.
We then drove to Canada which took another 2.5 hours. We got there around dinner and just settled into our airbnb.
